Words of Wisdom: Redeem the Time
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. ~ Ephesians 5:15-17 (NKJV)

We are all different. We're born in different places, with different social and economic backgrounds, and a vast combination of skin, eye, and hair colors. One thing we all have though, regardless of our station in life, is the same 24 hours.

No amount of power, influence, or money can buy anyone more time than others have. It's what we do with that time that makes the difference.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says
"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven." As we prepare for the end of Daylight Savings Time, let's just reflect on how we spend our time. There is a time to work, to play, to eat, to rest, and to spend with our loved ones. As we go about our daily lives, in the hustle and bustle, let's never forget to make time for the things of God.

Your soul needs rest and nourishment just like your body does, so take time to pray and study God's word. There are hurting people all around you, so take some time to speak life to others and help build up the body of Christ. Lost souls desperately need Christ, so make time to share the good news of His gospel with someone today.

There is no better use for our time.

I thank You, Lord, that You are no respecter of persons. You give everyone the same amount of time. Help us to use ours wisely, to grow in You and to be a blessing to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.
